Tom knew she was the one. Ever since he laid eyes on her nothing else made more sense in his life. He met her on a trip to France. He had boarded the Flight 345 to Paris on a summer weekend. She was gorgeous, simply breath taking and as luck would have it, he had been given a seat next to her.
“My name is Tom, short for Thomas” is what he had said.
“My name is Jerry, she had said, “spelt with IE at the end. I am an executive at the Victoria Estate Management in Lisbon.”
They chatted throughout the trip, and he could not get his eyes off her.
Before they got off the plane, he had told her.
“You know Jerrie, in this short time I have known you, I don’t think anything would keep us apart” Thomas had said with a smile in his eyes.
“And why is that?” Jerrie said batting her eyes at him with a hint of curiosity.
“Because we are Tom and Jerry, and nothing keeps those two apart”
“Which also means I won’t stop annoying the daylights out of you” Jerrie said with a hearty laugh.
They exchanged numbers both with a dose of excitement that will begin a friendship that was yet to unravel.
Tom got home that night embroiled in his company briefs. He had to get the board to agree to his proposal to expand the company’s locations to Germany. While working on the proposal, his phone began to ring. He picked it up on the third ring.
“What are you doing tonight, Tom, are you still in Paris?” Jerrie’s voice was tinged with an unbridled laughter.
“What a surprise. Nothing will feel more fated, than a night out with you. What do you have in mind Jerrie?”
“Was thinking we could check out the Les Berges de Seine. What do you think?” Jerrie responded without missing a beat.
“Anything for you Jerrie. Do you have a rendezvous point to meet?” Tom responded with controlled excitement.
“Let’s meet at the Torch of the Alma Bridge in an hour” Jerrie hanged up the phone.
That’s how this journey of Love began.
Thomas was an interesting character, but he had one Achilles heels, the inability to control his bursts of air from his gluteus maximus
As the months carried on, Tom and Jerrie got extremely close, and it was just a matter of time before he knew he would take the plunge to something more serious. He was going to propose to Jerrie.
One night he decided to organize an elaborate dinner just for the two of them at his penthouse location in Sydney.
Rose petals all over the floor, candles, vintage wine, exotic dishes he did not spare any expense to show how much Jerrie meant to him. The day also coincided with a contract Jerrie had secured with a top broker in Sydney.
“So should I expect you tonight Jerrie” Tom spoke to her in his raspy seductive tone that she had come to know so well.
“What do you have up your sleeves Tom” Jerrie replied with a charming pose looking at him with quiet reverie.
“Nothing serious, just trying to catch up with you since you just arrived.”
“OK I will be there. And don’t do anything crazy.” Jerrie smiled and Tom headed back to the Penthouse while Jerrie headed back to her office.
She arrived at his door that night around 9pm.
She was sharp and gorgeous as usual. She ran the bell.
Tom opened the door, the toned outline of his body being hugged so closely with his t-shirt over his denim jeans, and a blazer to give his usual masculine touch.
“Hey, you look disarming as usual” Tom said without inviting her in just yet.
“Are you going to invite me in, or you’re going to keep me at the door. And why are the lights off?”
He smiled, “You are the only reason I will put on the lights at this time, but you must first come in before I do that”
Jerrie stepped in and he closed the door.
The lush carpeting and expensive art decors on the wall could be glimpsed in the dark as she entered the residence.
“Tom, when would you put on the lights” she said with a matter-of-fact tone.
He clapped his hand twice, and all the lights came on in strategic places in the penthouse. The fireplace came on.
Jerrie was speechless. “What is this, Tom?” Her eyes barely holding in the excitement.
“Just come with me Jerrie”. He holds her hands and leads her to the roof top where all his elaborate plans unfolded before her eyes.
Candle lights, vintage wines, dishes on warmers
“I ordered dinner for two Jerrie. Come here Jerrie have a seat.”
“Jerrie I don’t know how to tell you this, but from the very first day I met you I knew you were the one for me. The world rotates every 24 hours and returns to the very place it was before, and it seems every time it does it keeps bringing me back to you. Jerrie nothing will make more sense in my life than having you become the light of my world.”
Just has he brings out the ring and opens the box, an ear shattering sound escapes from Tom’s ass.
“Sorry about that Jerrie. That was bad timing” Tom was flabbergasted he knew he had just killed the mood.
Jerrie looked at him with a smirk on her face.
“Tom, can’t accept the ring. I don’t think I can handle a long-term future with you if you can’t help but release your nonsense at inopportune times. I think that was the big reveal of the day Tom, have anything to say about this, and how this one stinks. You need to see a Doctor Tom?”
“Well tell you what Jerrie, let’s make a deal. I will be right back”
Tom came back within three minutes and just as he showed up melodies of soothing music started playing in the background.
“Jerry I would see a doctor first thing tomorrow morning and if I have to plug up my ass to have you that’s exactly what I would do”
But to take away the memory and the smell, I am going to spray this fragrance that shows how desirable you are, and I want you to think of this every time you remember my gaff”
“Roja Britannia, I bought this for you” He takes her hand and sprays it on her wrist.
The smell of the fragrance envelops the rooftop.
With the melodic music baring Tom gets on his knees one more time,
“I know I have flaws that are irreconcilable but there has never been a woman that makes me feel perfect in the face of the world, and I would make every moment of your life full of laughter and free of farts” He smiles and brings out the ring.
“Jerrie would you marry me”. She bursts out laughing and looks into his eyes. “Yes I will”
It smells so good but make sure you see a specialist; you can afford it.
Jerrie closes her eyes, Oh Tom it smells so good!.
